From March 15 to 20, 2019, the association Festival international de musique Saint-welcomes you to the 2nd SAINT-GEORGES International Music Festival. This year, we celebrate the 220th anniversary of the death of Joseph BOLOGNE, Knight of Saint Georges and the legacy he has left, with an extraordinary list of internationally renowned and diversified composers, instrumentalists and singers, who are currently performing on the most prestigious concert stages in the world. In addition to the return of the favorites of the festival J’Nai BRIDGES (mezzo-soprano), Romuald GRIMBERT-BARRÉ (violin) and Sami JUNNONEN (flute), we will present for the first time in Guadeloupe internationally renowned artists such as Chauncey PACKER ( tenor), Darnell ISHEL (baritone), Soloman HOWARD (bass), Karen SLACK (soprano), Eric SILBERGER (violin), chamber band Harlem Chamber Players and musicians crossover / jazz Trio Daltin and Warp Trio for a special jazz evening at the Creole Jazz Club concert les plus prestigieuses au monde.

Official international festival sponsored by the Guadeloupe Region, this is the most prestigious classical music event in the Caribbean. Organized every year, this event is a tribute to Joseph BOLOGNE, Knight of SAINT-GEORGES (1745-1799), neglected historical figure born in Guadeloupe, first known black composer, human rights activist and legendary hero of the French Revolution . The extraordinary life of BOLOGNE has long been a model of creativity, excellence and strength.
