SAINT-GEORGES FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA


The SAINT-GEORGES FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA is the official orchestra of the Festival International de Musique SAINT-GEORGES it is comprised of members of Ensemble du Monde (Ensemble-in-Residence), local Guadeloupian musicians and visiting musicians to the festival.
Over seventeen countries are represented and it represents not only the highest-level orchestra in Guadeloupe but also the Caribbean islands. Many players in the orchestra are members of, and have help principal positions with, renowned orchestras in Asia, Europe, North and South America.
The Music Director and Conductor of the orchestra is dynamic young American conductor Marlon DANIEL who is also serves as the festival’s Artistic Director.
